David Hicks is regularly called upon to serve as an expert witness. He has qualified and testified over opposition in the following areas:

• Standard of care for lawyering,
  
• Legal ethics,
  
• Attorneys fees and,
  
• Legislative intent (statutory construction).

He has been called upon and retained by numerous law firms, including the Nevada Attorney General and the United States Attorney’s Office, based upon his reputation for particular knowledge and experience.

He has consulted and aided in the drafting of proposed administrative code regulations and statutes, some of which have been enacted into law.
